Job description

Working principally from its Central London group head office, the role may also involve travel nationally and overseas. Working closely with the Head of Financial Control and the Head of Corporate Finance, the successful candidate, working in conjunction with the business representative, will develop and lead sound working relationships with senior level management and group head office. You will develop a solid understanding of financial reporting methodologies whilst keeping up-to-date with relevant developments in the industry, understand the markets in which the business unit (BU) operates and have an in depth knowledge of the financial dynamics of the allocated BU. The role involves analysis of financial information, capital usage and investment proposals as well as generating forecasts through monthly, interim and full year reporting. Additionally, the successful candidate will assist in the development of presentations to the Group Executive committee and board, and will assist investor relations’ activities. The candidate must come from a strong academic background (degree level), and be a qualified Chartered Accountant (ACA, CIMA and ACCA all accepted). The successful candidate will have extensive life assurance experience, a strong analytical background and excellent strong presentation and people skills.
