Job description
An interesting and unusual opportunity has arisen at a highly regarded Acute Trust to manage and develop the financial management of funding streams for research & development. Working closely with the Research & Development team, you will lead costing accounting and business support for the unit’s portfolio of commercial research and studies in collaboration with industrial partners under the direction of the Head of Finance (Research), who is responsible for establishing contracts, securing income and implementing revenue share agreements. As you would expect, you will have the chance to play an active part in the research department and you will play a key role in communicating with and influencing other organisations. You should be a part-qualified Accountant or equivalent and should have exposure to costing principles, preferably gained within an NHS environment. You should be able to demonstrate experience of management accounting, income and expenditure accounting as well as experience in negotiating contracts. Owing to the nature of this role, you will need strong communication skills.
Please note, it is unlawful to employ a person in a UK-based job who does not have permission to live and work in the UK. You should make yourself aware of how immigration laws apply to your situation before applying for any jobs. (Refer: Home Office Website).
This position is being advertised by an employment business in the case of temporary positions and an employment agency in the case of permanent positions.
