Job description

This London-based Local Authority is seeking an accomplished Capital Accountant with a strong background in local authority capital accounting. You will be joining the Corporate Finance team, working closely with the Environment Finance team, for over 6 months and will take a leading role in the London Borough's capital financial planning and budget development process. As well as managing the Council's Capital Programme you will be responsible for the capital aspect of the Council's annual accounts and the year end close down. Please only apply if you have recently had a similar capital accounting role within a Local Authority. You will be professionally qualified (ACCA/ACA/CIMA/CIPFA/CPA/CA or international equivalent) or have significant hands-on capital knowledge.
