Job description

My client, a major FMCG company is currently seeking a Finance Business Partner to provide full business and financial support to the key category teams. The role will be part of a Cross Functional team targeted on delivering stretching business results. You will have one direct report. This role will entail setting and delivering stretching financial targets from turnover to gross profit with insightful financial analysis and understanding of multiple complex markets and customers; delivering monthly financial analysis, proactively identifying issues and providing business leadership and insights which help drive opportunities for performance improvement. Leading the thinking and development of the longer term financial strategy for the category and stewarding the category team to turn this into business reality. Lead the category team to higher standards of performance through communicating energising and compelling visions, goals & targets. Monitoring progress against business targets for key financial and non-financial KPIs and taking decisive actions to minimise risk and create future opportunities for growth. The ideal candidate will be a qualified Accountant with excellent analytical and communication skills as well as excellent business and commercial awareness. People management experience essential.
