Job description
Central and North West London NHS Foundation Trust is one of the largest specialist NHS mental health Trusts in England with 3,500 employees serving more than 100 sites and with a turnover of £250m. A range of comprehensive mental health and social care services are provided for people of all ages across 5 London boroughs. These include substance misuse services, learning disabilities services and prison mental health services for Wormwood Scrubs, Feltham and Holloway. Reporting directly to the Head of Financial Control & Assurance, the Chief Financial Accountant will be responsible for all aspects of financial reporting and development of the Trust’s financial systems and processes. The role offers an excellent opportunity to work in the operational integration of two PCT provider arms joining CNWL. This equates to £120m per annum of additional income and provides a unique opportunity for someone to influence a developing business. After the integration process, the role will develop and focus on managing the Financial Accounting function and producing the Trust’s annual statutory accounts. You will be a CCAB qualified Accountant with both strong technical accounting and analytical skills to advise and influence Service Managers. High levels of organisation and planning are required, as are first class communication and presentation skills and a real eye for detail. Whilst prior NHS experience is not essential, applicants will have gained their experience and qualification in a large well-known, complex and professional organisations.
Please note, it is unlawful to employ a person in a UK-based job who does not have permission to live and work in the UK. You should make yourself aware of how immigration laws apply to your situation before applying for any jobs. (Refer: Home Office Website).
