Job description

An outstanding opportunity has arisen for a Client Accountant to join what is considered to be a front runner within the real estate services and management investment sector. As a Client Accountant you would be serving a local, regional and global market. This role in particular will be dealing with a portfolio of clients in the commercial sector, therefore working knowledge of commercial property accounting will be essential. Client Accountant: be the main point of contact for the client and tenants on your portfolio, familiarising yourself with the properties, client accounting reports, service charges and general administration processes for your portfolio; full responsible for the trial balance reporting, VAT reporting, regular charges to tenants and any other ad hoc reports/requirements to clients, surveyors and solicitors as appropriate; as Client Accountant you will ensure the smooth running of the portfolio including timely accurate accounts reporting to clients and monitoring of funding whilst liaising with the relevant surveyors on the portfolio, acting on and providing information in a timely manner; responsible for calculation/compilation/completion statements, rent review calculations and interest rate applicable whilst liaising with service charge Analysts and site staff to review property expenditure regularly, agree correctness with surveyor or Site Manager and ensure amendments are actioned; administration of rent deposits and ensuring that quarterly cash analysis of cash held is prepared on all properties whilst working within the team to ensure there are no backlogs of work whilst becoming familiar with the department QA procedures and relevant tax processes (CIS, VAT and NRL) and relevant compliance rules (Sarbanes-Oxley and RICS).
