Job description
My client, a leading Property and Construction company is seeking multiple Client Accountants to join its Finance team on permanent and fixed term contract basis to take responsibility for financial management and regular financial reporting to clients within a designated property portfolio. Key responsibilities include: trial balance reporting, VAT reporting, regular charges to tenants; be the main point of contact for the client, and tenants on the portfolio; familiarise yourself with the properties, client accounting reports, service charges and general administration processes for the portfolio; ensure the smooth running of the portfolio including timely accurate accounts; calculation and compilation of completion statements, rent review calculations and interest rate applicable; liaise with service charge Analysts and site staff to review property expenditure regularly, agree correctness with surveyor or Site Manager and ensure amendments are actioned; administration of rent deposits; become familiar with the department QA procedures and relevant tax processes (CIS, VAT, and NRL) and relevant compliance rules (Sarbanes-Oxley and RICS); any other accounting duties necessary to run the portfolio. It is preferable to have the following experience: knowledge of property accounts and property VAT; formal qualification: AAT (or equivalent) or knowledge/experience of basic accounting; knowledge of service charges, which are applied to properties.
