Job description
Role description: this is a newly created role for a Manchester based Commercial Accountant, with responsibility for identifying and exploiting commercial opportunities. The role holder will manage a team of Commercial Analysts and ensure that the data they provide on pricing, contracts, standard and ad hoc reporting is timely, accurate and suitable for purpose. Working closely with the Sales function, the Commercial Reporting Manager will interpret and manipulate data produced by the team in order to advise the Sales Representatives on improving profitability and making key business decisions. Key areas of focus will include improvement in customer and product profitability, development of key customer contracts and provision of market and competitor analysis. Candidate requirements: candidates must be qualified (ACA/CIMA/ACCA) Commercial Accountants/Analysts who have a proven ability to liaise with and effectively influence sales, commercial and other non-finance colleagues. Experience of identifying areas for improvement in commercial processes and designing & implementing the necessary solutions is also required.
