Job description
A leading Retail organisation based in Northampton has a rare and exciting opportunity for a Senior Commercial Accountant to join their Commercial Accounting team. In this role you will be responsible for reviewing and developing the new promotional model to maximise and increase sales and profit. Responsibilities will include: supporting the Marketing and Buying teams with financial modelling; reviewing the pricing structures and any proposed promotional pricing; customer and product profitability; margin analysis and price tracking; supplier and customer rebates; provide commercial support on Group projects. The successful candidate must have the ability to work with complex information to provide clear data and support the delivery of new initiatives. The ideal candidate will have previous Retail sector experience and possess advanced Excel skills, strong statistical and numerical skills along with commercial and financial awareness. Candidates who are in the final stages of their studies or who have qualified in either CIMA/ACCA/ACA will have a distinct advantage.
