Job description
My client, a leading Retail organisation, is looking to recruit an ACA qualified Accountant with PQE to joining its compliance team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is looking to make their move into industry. This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially aware, highly talented individual with strong audit skills to manage the financial assurance program. You’ll provide assurance to the Group FD that the management accounts are fairly stated and that the controls within the Finance department of the group are effective. Duties will include: liaise with Head of Department and Group FD to develop daily work flows; completion of audits in accordance within the departmental plan; documentation of audits within a specified format; preparing detailed work programs in conjunction with the Head of Department; conduct ad hoc projects as required for example acquisition due diligence and development of policies and procedures. You will be a qualified Chartered Accountant (ACA) or (ACCA) with previous Practice experience within a Top 20 accountancy firm. You’ll be experienced in auditing large businesses and possess exceptional knowledge of controls, systems and audit techniques. An excellent communicator who can manage relationships with key stakeholders, you’ll also be well versed in report writing and have knowledge of MS Office and Access.
