Job description

Our client is a household Media/Music company with a global presence and reputation. We have an exciting senior opportunity within the UK Commercial Finance team for a passionate and driven qualified Accountant. Reporting to the VP of Finance and working closely with the VP of ad sales, the role is responsible for all aspects of forecasting, accounting and reporting for this £100m revenue stream. The role has a high profile and commercial element, working with channel heads to ensure advertising revenues are maximised and also providing strategic decision support, such as new channel launches and major programme investments. The key responsibilities include: advising the business on strategic initiatives to maximise revenues under a 3rd party advertising sales agreement; ad hoc financial analysis and evaluation of commercial opportunities that arise; formulation of long range advertising revenues through liaison with the VP ad sales and individual channel Management teams; all finance matters associated with the ad sales dept, including month end reporting and forecasting for all revenues due and costs incurred for the in-house Sales team. You must be a qualified Accountant with a background in a fast-paced media environment. You will have outstanding Excel skills and excellent communication ability.
