Job description
Commercially astute and ambitious part-qualified sought for this expanding PLC. You will undertake a varied and challenging role within central finance. You will have responsibility for analysis, interpretation and challenging commercial performance through use of KPIs and other analysis tools. In addition you will be expected to take ownership of monthly financial reporting process including accruals/prepayments and adjustments. You will be given the opportunity to evaluate and understand reasons for variances to budgets and make recommendations to address any identified issues. You will: enjoy a commercially focused role where production of information to support decision-making and provide ad hoc analysis makes up approximately 20%-30% of workload; work closely with Operations teams and conduct monthly commercial reviews with Operational Managers to ensure all KPIs are understood, analysed, prioritised and appropriate action plans agreed and documented; be given the freedom to use own initiative by identifying potential issues and areas of improvement; gain a rounded understanding of budget processes. The successful candidate will be confident and outgoing CIMA/ACCA part-qualified with a solid foundation of practical accounting skills.
