Job description
Our client, a developing Recruitment business, is seeking an experienced Commercial Analyst to join them in an interesting, value-adding role. Reporting to the Finance Manager and working very closely with Operational Managers, the role purpose is to maximise commercial opportunities across the business. Main responsibilities include: monitoring of operational performance, DSO and debt difficulties and then influencing the business, client or head office team where appropriate to make improvements; business partnering Operational Managers, supporting them in the growth of their division; taking responsibility for complex or high profile client contracts; working with Operational Managers in helping them understand their division's financial performance, providing onsite financial training to Contract Managers and sharing best practice between contracts; maximising billing, ensuring learning points are shared with other contracts and mitigating margin erosion; assisting with the retendering process; review and analysis of monthly, quarterly and annual results for divisions; financial planning - producing budgets and forecasts for contracts within the various divisions including critical review and sensitivity analysis; challenging forecasts and budgets with operational staff to explore growth areas and profit maximisation. Candidates will be part-qualified (ACCA/CIMA or equivalent) and have experience in a recruitment business. Also essential experience in a highly commercial, management accounting or analytical role.
