Job description
Our client in North Dorset is seeking a Commercial Finance Analyst to join its team. This highly visible role in a highly commercial business with the main purpose to become the financial expert at a detail level for Commercial area with full understanding of the money making and cost drivers involved. This is a fast-paced environment and will suit a driven individual with commercial focus. The role: you will be preparing and setting sales and margin budgets and forecasts; reporting of sales, margin and vendor rebates against agreed targets; period end reporting including providing appropriate information to the Reporting and Planning Manager to ensure the timely and accurate production of internal accounts and reports & providing expert commercial support to the Commercial Director and Heads of Department. You will also assist the Commercial team in understanding the margin drivers, identifying risks and opportunities and developing strategies accordingly and preparing and presenting monthly briefings to the Commercial team raising commercial awareness regarding current business issues and financial performance. The successful candidate will be part or fully qualified Accountant (CIMA/ACCA/ACA) with experience of working within a retail or consumer manufacturing FMCG operation providing key decision support analysis. You must be an advanced user of Microsoft Office including, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook. You will be a good communicator with an engaging approach – able to get point across clearly both verbally and through written media and to harness support from appropriate internal/external resources.
