Job description
Our client, Cornwall Farmers has been a significant force in agriculture for nine decades. The successful candidate will be working with the CEO as a business partner to support the development of a dynamic change agenda, driving transition and promoting stability. Your leadership qualities will focus on generating commercial advantage from both the development and proactive use of business systems, performance monitoring and financial engineering. Stewardship of the accounting function, as well as strong IT skills is taken as read but added value is actively sought in the wider commercial debate on mix, margin and yield. In conjunction with the CEO, you will determine strategies for driving growth and increasing profitability by identifying key operational issues and by bringing organisational structure and team building skills to the business. Prospects will have a proven track record and good commercial experience already gained in industry. You will be a qualified Accountant and have considerable experience at Finance Director level and will be able to demonstrate how your rigorous approach to reporting structures and financial processes will add value to the business. Process improvement is a key area of the role and candidates must be skilled at analysing business objectives and finding ways of streamlining and improving business processes. As well as sound cash flow and cash management experience, candidates will have a commercial focus, excellent motivational, communication and strong interpersonal skills.
