Job description
The Commercial Finance team enables informed strategic and tactical decisions through the provision of proactive, timely, actionable, and innovative financial evaluation, information and advice. This should lead the development of strong commercial awareness within the function and also ensure implementation of best practice methodologies and tools. Duties: apply leading-edge tools for financial evaluation of pricing by reviewing pricing dynamics; undertake modelling and support Management team for all pricing decisions; ensuring relevant input into the decision-making process, including reconciliations in Cognos, and evaluation of expenditure; lead accurate and timely financial management, and the execution of a robust process; coordinate the financial preparation of expenditure and to ensure that regional submissions in the planning and forecasting process correctly reflect UK requirements; conduct month end meetings with all budget holders to ensure understanding of current levels of spend. Skills and experience: driver of new initiatives; proactive, persuasive, creative and prepared to challenge existing ideas; strong communication skills, keeping the multi-cultural and above market environment into consideration; provider of financial insights regarding the impact of marketing strategies; understanding of all functions within the company; particularly the inter-relationships/interfaces between them; SAP, Cognos; proven use of financial information to support business diagnosis, strategy and decisions.
