Job description
Our client is an international Food group with site on all continents. The UK operation has sites in Cornwall, Wales & Scotland. Main purpose of job: to manage the Costing & Management Information department including analysis of all aspects of the business for sales, costings, production yields, margin & site costs; to manage the production of focused data to enable well informed business/commercial decisions to be made. Scope of job: managing all staff within the Commercial Finance team; to focus the work performed by the department to ensure business performance can be monitored & explained at all times; to determine the type & frequency of information provided to internal & external customers through discussions with company management; to set controls in place to ensure all information provided to customers of the department is accurate & timely; ensure data is stored & managed in an efficient manner; to drive innovation by improving techniques & making use of the technology available. Dimensions of authority: to be responsible for all work performed by the Commercial Finance team including any information issued. Ideally you will be ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified & have strong people management skills to enable motivation of staff, commercial awareness in a similar environment, ability to plan & structure work, & good communication skills at all levels.
