Job description
This is an exceptional opportunity to join this progressive, high growth organisation. In this newly-created position, our client is now seeking to appoint a commercially-orientated Financial Controller; who will manage all development and capital accounting activity up to full operational handover and completion of the capital accounting phase. Managing a team of seven, the post will have budget oversight control of £500m per annum. This pivotal role will act as a key point of contact for the Joint Venture Partners and Management teams and will be responsible for offering a robust challenge to, and critiquing of, capital projects. A proven track record in the financial management of large scale capital accounting projects (construction sector highly preferable) coupled with joint venture exposure is sought, alongside a working knowledge of foreign exchange transactions and hedging with previous experience of debt/equity financial structures and terminology. Central to this influential role is the ability to build and maintain close relationships across the business including the Project Managers. Applicants must be capable of working at a strategic level and have exceptional communication skills. An approachable and flexible approach is essential and will afford success in this high profile appointment. Prospects for internal progression are excellent.
