Job description
This is a newly created role of which the purpose is to take control of the European entities. Key responsibilities include: ensuring the smooth transition of existing staff and finance processes to a new organisational structure; building high levels of employee and stakeholder engagement and trust; leading and management of all country finance and SSC processes including financial and management reporting, budgeting and forecasting, Capex management and project accounting; development of department goals; maintaining external audit and other professional services relationships; coordinating treasury activities across multiple entities; managing the budgeting, forecasting and long-range planning activities across the UK business; assessment and deployment of optimum/efficient systems, processes and operations reinforcing a robust internal control framework; developing and implementing KPIs for the SSC process areas to seek. Our client seeks a qualified Accountant, preferably with audit experience. You will have extensive experience within a financial shared service environment and controlling activity across several international locations. Preference will be given to candidates who can demonstrate an aptitude for change management and process and systems change delivery. You will possess excellent communication skills and an ability to influence stakeholders at all levels. Our client is a leading business operating within the Pharmaceutical sector and with global operations based in Oxfordshire. Salary and benefits: salary up to £100,000 per annum base salary plus package. Where specific UK qualifications are required we will take into account overseas equivalents.
