Job description
A well-established and forward-thinking local business is offering a 12 month temporary contract, for a Corporate Risk Officer within the Financial Services department. The successful candidate will assist in the overall management and development of the risk management service, ensure compliance with: best value principles, legislation, council policy and procedures (including Financial Regulations and standing orders relating to contracts, equality & diversity and health and safety), appropriate guidance from appropriate professional bodies e.g. CIPFA, ALARM, and the council's corporate planning and performance management framework, thereby assisting the council in the sound management of its resources. Some experience within risk management, insurance, or internal audit environment essential, or equivalent skills.
