Job description

This 8 partner, well established, well-organised and modern-thinking regional independent practice seeks a Senior Manager for its Corporate Accounts and Assurance department. Reporting directly to the partner of the Corporate team, you shall be a high-flyer wanting to aim for partnership in the medium term. The role will involve the over-seeing of the Corporate team and the review and supervision of the work of 4 qualified Senior Managers who act as Account Managers on key clients who in turn supervise and review the work of around 20 other fee earners. The work of the department includes the audit and accounts work for companies or entities typically with £1-30 million turnover and associated tax compliance work although for complex tax planning issues there are dedicated tax experts separate to the Corporate team. You will oversee and review the work of others, budget and resource, and monitor the performance of staff and the department and be an active generator of and participator in business development initiatives. The successful applicant will have worked in an Audit department within professional practice with post qualification experience in man management; audit planning and review. The opportunity would particularly suit someone moving from a larger firm, who wanted increased responsibility, in a smaller more personable environment, allowing you to "make your mark", and progress to partner.
