Job description
Manpower Professional has been assigned by an international Engineering business to assist with its search for a Cost Accountant to join its Finance team. As the Cost Accountant, you will be responsible for the following: working with operational and commercial departments on costs of manufactured parts; standard costing reporting; variance analysis; detailed margin analysis; developing & managing cost controls; stock reconciliation; labour and overhead recovery rates; reviewing bills of material; maintaining accurate costing information to assist in the pricing of products for the company. The successful candidate will ideally have strong cost accounting skills coupled with the ability to build relationships within the wider business to ensure accuracy and timely submission of financial information. You will be a qualified Accountant (CIMA/ACCA/ACA) with experience of working in a complex manufacturing environment (multiple lines/products/projects etc). You will have had significant exposure to cost models. The person must also possess excellent communication skills and be charismatic & engaging.
