Job description
My client, a specialist international Manufacturer, is recruiting for a Cost/Management Accountant to join its talented team. My client is looking for a proven Accountant with specific cost accounting skills from within a manufacturing environment. You will be tasked with developing financial controls & procedures to improve visibility and enhance cost reduction measures within specific areas, such as Gross Margin returns, inventory sourcing and management, all direct cost centres plus overheads. A broad, challenging and exciting opportunity, where you will be responsible for identifying any weaknesses that will erode GM returns in the long run. This will extend to purchasing analysis, inventory analysis, cost analysis, and other management accounting duties. You will be reporting directly to the FD, with a dotted line to the MD, of this international manufacturing business. The client offers free parking and the ability for role enhancement over time. The successful candidate will have good analytical skills, be an excellent communicator, have the ability to challenge the ‘status quo’ across functionalities and be capable of identifying and eliminating route causes of GM erosion.
