Job description
Our client, a well established and leading Design and Manufacturer near to Poole, is currently recruiting for a Cost Accountant to join its Finance team in a key role. Reporting directly to the FD you will be responsible for the general maintenance of all aspects of the costing system, including standard costs, maintaining detailed records of contract work in progress and estimates of future costs. You will also take responsibility for the analysis and reporting of completion variances, preparing monthly control account, stock and work in progress reconciliations, managing accruals, preparing payment runs and preparing general ledger journals. With a background in a manufacturing or engineering environment, you will have experience of cost accounting and additionally of working with an ERP system. A good working knowledge of Excel is also required. Benefits will include subsidised healthcare, pension, childcare vouchers and free parking.
