Job description
Our client, a highly acquisitive and growing European technology organisation, is looking to appoint a new Credit Control/Billings Manager. This is a stand-alone position, reporting directly to the CFO. Job description: undertake sole responsibility for collections across the UK, Germany, the Netherlands and Ireland; manage and improve the end to end billings process; ensure payment to term and that regular customer contact by phone and email is maintained/recorded; anticipate developments and identify accounts that require special attention; customer reconciliations, handling disputed accounts and negotiate to bring payment into line with terms; resolve account queries, liaise with Legal, Billing and Account Managers to resolve; manage the dunning process, request and oversee suspension of services; assess creditworthiness of new and existing customers and report any potential bad debts or write offs; produce weekly debtors and KPI report, maintain accurate performance statistics; document and implement departmental processes and procedures. Skills and experience: substantial experience of managing the end to end billing process and credit control; knowledge of legal processes; ability to improve current processes, and where necessary, add procedures; excellent communication and Excel skills; capable of dealing with high volumes of data in a pressurised environment; a self-starter with drive, determination and commitment to get things done; ability to work and manage own workflow, using initiative to achieve targeted results whilst promoting customer goodwill; effect at interacting with customers and management at all levels and with finance and non-finance departments.
