Job description

A leading private equity backed Travel company based in Central London is looking for a Credit Control Manager to join its busy office. The role will be responsible for all aspects of credit control/sales ledger and will report directly to the FC. The successful candidate will also be expected to add real value to the organisation through the development and improvement to current processes, systems and procedures. This is an exciting role for the right candidate at a time of substantial change and great growth opportunities for the company. Your main responsibilities would include: to chase 500-600 live accounts for outstanding debts by phone, letter and fax; to produce weekly department invoices schedules and updates; to produce weekly list of clients/customers with balances over 60 days; to devise pre-season payment planes for customers; to relay any sales-related queries to Sales staff and monitor; when authorised to forward correspondence to Solicitors to instigate proceedings against customers; to keep detailed and update a log of chase history; to create aged-debtors reports; to produce weekly customer account analysis on problem customers; to update post dated cheque schedule; to supervise a team of 5 people. You must be an excellent communicator and have a proven track within credit control. In addition, knowledge of Sun Systems would be advantageous. In return, you will receive a salary of up to £40k per annum depending on experience plus excellent benefits.
