Job description
This is an exciting Project Head of Credit role working for a FTSE 100 organisation. Duties (but not limited to): to ensure achievement of targets set you will need to build and maintain good working relationships with both internal and external customers, you will need sound communication skills, liaising with external clients on queries/remittance requests; operate as part of a dedicated Management team, establish and review credit and collection policies and processes and manage the full cycle of credit including the review of credit applications, credit limits including risk analysis, new account set ups and account closures; ensure proper internal controls are maintained at all times, including proper and timely update of credit line documentation, completion of key account reconciliations senior Finance and Central Services Management team, proper user access controls, monitoring all of receivables; manage a team of up to 80 people within a shared services environment and will be required to provide advice and guidance to your team on all relevant key activities in relation to resource management, people management (performance, training & development), customer relationship management and all matters relating to the performance of your business unit. The role of Head of Credit is to also have operational management of a credit function having the authority to award or withdraw credit facilities and responsibility for developing and recommending policies and procedures; to lead a team, control and reduce outstanding debtor balances to achieve monthly targets. The role will involve significant contact with non-finance departments and senior members of the organisation. Credibility in the eyes of Directors is therefore key to the effectiveness of this post holder.
