Job description
This exciting permanent opportunity has arisen for a Deputy Finance Director to work in this well-known high profile Charity. You will be reporting to the FD and Resources you will be in charge of the day-to-day operational Finance teams. Your key responsibilities will include: responsibility for the production of consolidated statutory financial accounts (under SORP requirements); lead on the Financial Performance Reporting to the Board; responsibility for driving improvements to and the maintaining of the Internal Financial Control Framework; source of expertise relating to VAT, corporation tax, PAYE and ensuring that all of the charities matters in these areas are appropriately managed; to oversee the treasury function including cash flow planning and achievement of investment income opportunities; oversee projects to improve the performance of finance processes across the organisations; direct line management of the Head of Financial Accounts and the Head of Management Accounts and their relevant teams. The ideal candidate will be a qualified (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CIPFA) Accountant and possess good leadership qualities. As this role is a pivotal role within a large charitable organisation, previous experience of working for a sizeable business/organisation where you have demonstrated an appreciation for the bigger picture would be advantageous.
