Job description

My client, a Fortune 500 company is a recognised global leader in its chose markets with a diverse portfolio of internationally recognised brands. The Director of Financial Reporting will lead the company's compliance with current and future technical accounting issues, SEC reporting requirements and consolidation of the company’s global financial results. The position will require extensive and effective communication across functions at the company’s domestic and foreign subsidiaries. The individual will also have significant interaction with 3rd party providers and outside Auditors. Applicants must have a broad understanding of technical accounting matters under US GAAP, along with the ability to communicate effectively at multiple levels of the organisation on a global basis. The Director of Financial Reporting needs to be a self-starter with the ability to look for opportunities to continuously improve current processes. This position manages a staff of eight, four of which are direct reports. You'll ensure all Company SEC filings are timely and accurate, including 10- Q, 10-K and Earnings release 8-K reports. Direct analytical review of the consolidated financial statement results Oversee special projects including consolidation system software upgrades and various accounting, consolidation and financial reporting initiatives. As such we’re searching for candidates with excellent analytical and technical accounting skills, strong working knowledge of SEC rules and regulations and of internal accounting control procedures. You should be: educated to degree standard BS/BA Accounting degree required; MBA highly desired increasing responsibility with an active CPA license (or equivalent) Big 4 public accounting experience highly preferred. Experience with a high-end consolidations and reporting package such as Hyperion, HFM, Longview, Cartesis, OutlookSoft, SAP BOFC SAP BFC, SAP BPC etc is required.
