Job description
My client is one of the leading brands in the UK Charity sector. A household name it is renowned for its innovative approach to campaigning and fundraising. A recent promotion has led to an urgent need for a Divisional Finance Director to take responsibility for the financial management of a diverse business unit that generates in excess of £400 million per annum. Key responsibilities: to act as the Finance Business Partner to the fundraising directorate; to maintain a strategic commercial dialogue with the Divisional Leadership team; to provide financial management support and advise to budget holders; to work with the division on financial aspects of fundraising-related strategy projects; to lead a highly skilled team of financial management employees through 6 direct reports. The successful candidate will be a fully qualified Accountant with strong commercial financial management skills. Experience of working in a successful commercial business is essential, including leading a management accounting function in a complex environment. You will have a sound and practical understanding of general and financial commercial business drivers and an appreciation of new business development. You will be a well-respected leader and be very customer focussed.
