Job description

NRG is currently recruiting a Divisional Finance Manager for our client, a large Manufacturing firm. Location: Newcastle. Responsibilities will include: maintain the highest standards of accounting integrity, ensuring that the divisional financial statements comply with accounting standards and group accounting policies; manage the divisional period end closing process and the preparation of divisional results, forecasts and budgets in line with group reporting requirements; analyse trading trends for orders, sales, profits, cash flow, and working capital, highlighting and explaining key performance issues and variances to management; manage the factory’s costing system and process to ensure that stocks are valued appropriately, and that variances to standard are highlighted and acted upon; enforce departmental budget accountability and ensure expenditure and purchasing controls are in place and adhered to; evaluate capital investment proposals and monitor projects to ensure anticipated benefits are obtained; assist in the preparation of the UK and overseas statutory accounts and liaise with the Company’s Auditors and Tax Advisors as required. Salary is £38k - £48k per annum plus benefits.
