Job description
A market-leading organisation is currently seeking to recruit a European Finance Director to support its European business units. Rieke Packaging Systems is a leading Manufacturer of highly engineered closure and dispensing systems. Responsible to the European MD, and with a dotted line to the Group Controller, the key/main responsibilities will include: overseeing the production of management accounts, investigation of variances and identification of areas for commercial improvements across the European businesses; ensuring that all internal/external reporting requirements are effectively realised within corporate timeframes; provision of expert financial input to commercial problem solving and to support strategic decision-making; recruitment, development and management all European finance personnel and ensuring that resourcing levels and calibre of personnel are appropriate; working closely with the Controllers at each site to ensure that deliverables are submitted in a timely manner and to the required quality; to be the principal point of contact for all financial information requests of US parent and wider group companies; control of company treasury activities and attain the group working capital goals; management of external financial relationships with Auditors, Tax Advisors, bankers, insurers, tax authorities and pension scheme providers; presentation of financial rationale/justification for capital expenditure proposals for group authorisation.
