Job description
Our client is a private equity backed global industrial products group with its European headquarters in the North West. The European business is at an exciting stage of its development with significant expansion (mainly by acquisition) and structural change. As a result a new role is being created whose purpose is to support the FD for Northern Europe in driving through changes to the European reporting structure and ensuring that financial reporting, controls and procedures are robust and consistent across the Northern European businesses. You will be responsible for providing financial leadership in all aspects of Financial Control across 5 European legal entities (including accounting/compliance/monthly reporting/development of systems and processes/liaising with Tax and Treasury Manager/business planning and forecasting/ad hoc projects). The individual will be a confident character who is naturally keen to take ownership, who has excellent communication skills and who is technically strong (UK GAAP/IFRS). Solid Excel skills are also required. The client is interested in either candidates looking to move out of Practice into industry, or for someone already in industry.
Please note, it is unlawful to employ a person in a UK-based job who does not have permission to live and work in the UK. You should make yourself aware of how immigration laws apply to your situation before applying for any jobs. (Refer: Home Office Website).
