Our internationally renowned client is looking to recruit a high calibre European Financial Controller to be based at its site in East Yorkshire.
Reporting to the Regional FD, your role is to take full responsibility for this European Shared Services function. Equally important, is your direct involvement in a number of business-critical projects.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- The management of the European Shared Services function, including its development and execution to allow for further expansion and optimisation.
- Managing and influencing relationships with both board level Operational and Finance Directors, as well as individual Country Controllers.
- Delivery of 'best practice' solutions to European cash targets.
- Leading the approach to European fiscal affairs and managing the network of Internal and External Advisors in all European affiliates.
- Driving bottom line improvement through involvement in commercial issues, project delivery, and increasing visibility of key performance indicators.
You will have the following qualifications, experience and attributes:
- A graduate, qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA or CIMA) with post qualified experience and strong technical competence.
- A driven leader with the personality to develop and build the team, and allow it to undertake a new phase of projects.
- Excellent presentation skills that facilitate effective decision-making.
- Strong communication skills and a demonstrable ability to influence management in different disciplines and cultures.
- A logical approach that allows complex challenges to be distilled down to simple decisions and instructions.
- The confidence, intellect and flair to pre-empt and identify issues and weaknesses, and develop innovative solutions to a variety challenges.
