Job description
Our client is a major international Insurance conglomerate with a strong presence in the UK, Europe and America. They are currently seeking a high-calibre individual to provide quality internal audit work to Group companies in Europe. Key elements for this exciting role include ability to: plan, manage and execute value added internal audit activity across European locations to provide assurance on the internal controls environment and risk management framework; perform annual Sarbanes-Oxley testing and system walkthroughs to comply with US regulations; be responsible for carrying out internal audits and Sarbanes-Oxley testing on all departments including but not limited to underwriting, claims, reinsurance, finance, human resources, compliance and IT; produce accurate and complete working papers that support the audit findings; ensure all review points raised by the Head of European Internal Audit are cleared on a timely basis; maintain an up-to-date and comprehensive audit programme library; liaise with senior staff and management across the insurance group; keep up-to-date with regulatory, auditing and legal changes; assist junior/trainee members of the team; liaise with External Auditors during the year end audit process.
