Job description
A leading international financial services group is looking to recruit an experienced ideally qualified accountant to join the Group Finance Financial Accounting team at either a Manager level or with the potential to quickly progress to that level. The Finance Accounting Manager will have frequent exposure to Director of Group Finance, Chief Financial Officer, and Group Audit Committee responsible for technical aspects of Group external reporting. Responsibilities will include: delivery of Group IFRS financial statements and business review; supporting development work on financial reporting aspects of Solvency II; development of migration plans for UK subsidiary reporting from UK GAAP to IFRS and new accounting standards. The role will be of interest to candidates looking to establish a career in technical accounting. The role represents an excellent opportunity to develop a career at a FTSE 100 company with complex and challenging financial reporting requirements. The ideal candidate will be a qualified accountant with proven track record of experience surrounding Solvency 2 and financial reporting under IFRS. Excellent communication skills and the ability to take initiative is also essential. Where UK qualifications are specified we will take into account overseas equivalents.
