Job description

Our public sector client based in Coventry is looking for two Finance Assistants (part or fully qualified) to support the Head of Finance in providing financial and management accounting, forecasting, cash flow, budgeting and control systems. This is an urgent requirement and the deadline for applying is Friday, 27th Jan 9:00am. You will be responsible for: providing management accounting support (analysis of monthly figures, production of monthly management accounts); analysing payroll data, constructing and posting the monthly payroll journal; financial systems administration; production and preparation of HMRC returns; assisting in the production of annual accounts; producing the monthly bank reconciliations; liaising with external stakeholders. To be considered for this role you must: be part-qualified or fully qualified Accountant (ACA, CIMA, CIPFA); be immediately available; have evidence of CPD; have experience of preparing and posting journals; have experience of working for public sector clients; have experience of analysing large amounts of complex data; have experience of purchase ledger, forecasting, cash flow, budgeting, etc; have knowledge of Excel (pivot tables, v-look ups and graphs); public sector VAT Accounting experience is highly desirable.
