Job description
We are currently recruiting an interim Finance Assistant for our Central Government client based in London. This is an urgent requirement. You need to be able to start immediately and hold current Disclosure Scotland clearance. Your responsibilities will include: to help provide analysis of administration costs financial performance for business segments; to assist the Finance Business Partner with transactional activities (journals, accruals etc) to ensure the integrity of the figures reported is maintained; to assist with the production of documentation and analysis to facilitate budget reviews; assist in the maintenance of the general ledger to ensure a smooth translation from management accounts to financial accounts; work with the business area focal points to understand, query and challenge the assumptions within admin costs and review actuals with them on a monthly basis. Essential: you need to be a part-qualified Accountant or candidate working towards an accountancy qualification; a thorough and up-to-date knowledge of Oracle Financial systems & related functionality; intermediate to advanced Excel skills with a sound understanding of key analysis tools, with an ability to learn in the role; experience of accounting in a public sector environment.
