Job description

Supporting the Contingency Planning Accountant identifying and delivering enhancements to the Finance Contingency Project (systems, processes and staff training); gearing up the finance requirements and providing monthly, quarterly and annual management and financial accounts. Providing support on delivering systems, processes and procedures as identified in each of the project work strands; monitor and report on expenditure for both gearing up/accelerated activity; provide input to the monthly, quarterly and annual management and financial accounts (assisting with budgets}); extracting data from computerised finance systems, develop and use spreadsheets for improved analysis and reporting; assist the other members of the Finance team with the production of financial information and to undertake ad hoc project work; ensure that accounting records for which the post holder is responsible are maintained in accordance with accounting policies and procedures. You must be: qualified or a part-qualified, Finalist CCAB (the minimum qualification would be to be studying for final stage). Good IT skills and previous Oracle experience is essential.
