Job description

Finance Director

All around the world, education is growing in importance and within it English language education – learning English and learning in English – is booming. As one of the premier names in the sector, teaching 10,000 students and teachers a year and supporting learning in nearly 50 countries, we want to share in that boom.

We’ve been through a burst of growth in recent years, and now we want to push on to further growth. As our Finance Director, you will be part of getting the strategy right, bringing a rigorous eye to business planning and investment appraisal. You will ensure that we make the best possible use of all our resources – financial, property and technology. You will support the Senior Management team and the board with the right financial information to support decision-making. You will be part of a team that is ambitious, and you will bring your own team along with that ambition.

To succeed, you will need to have a track record of financial leadership in a growing business, ideally in an SME or in the Service sector. You will possess a strategic perspective and an ability to follow it through in day-to-day operations. You will have the communication skills which make you a highly effective Senior Management team member and Board Director. Experience of working in education isn’t essential, but an enthusiasm for education is a definite advantage.

Closing date for applications: 6th February 2012.
