Job description
The Art Fund. The current FD leaves 1st October. Duties: ensure effective system of financial control, meet all regulatory requirements, run efficiently and cost-effectively; manage facilities, HR, IT, legal and governance; member of the SMT; provide sound financial advice to Trustees, Director, Treasurer and SMT; act as interface between SMT and Trustees on finance, maintain regular liaison with Treasurer, act as Secretary to the F&GP; lead budget and financial planning process; develop/implement effective systems for resource allocation, performance management, risk management and budget monitoring; prepare annual accounts for publication and audit, liaise with Auditors, supervise the accounting systems and financial processes; manage investments, liaise with External Investment Advisors; support Director of Marketing and Membership; act as Company Secretary to Art Fund Services Ltd and other subsidiaries. Required: broad spectrum of commercial and charity experience at a senior level; demonstrable ability to contribute to strategic discussions relating both to finance and to broader issues. Experience of: successfully meeting management challenges across a broad range of skill-sets and issues, including management of change; negotiating and managing outsourced contractors, ensuring best practice and value for money. Evidence of ability: to present and convince at Board level; to communicate orally and in writing at all levels.
