Job description
Heritage opportunity: both registered Charity and museum, The ss Great Britain Trust houses one of the most significant developments in science, technology and travel; not just the Ship but the site in which it was built, all within the heart of Bristol’s burgeoning waterfront. Well capitalised with healthy revenue streams, the Trust has filed robust accounts with strong visitor numbers (see our website). It seeks a proactive Finance Director to underpin the sustainability of the Trust’s, the Ship’s and its facilities’ plans. Reporting to the CEO, the role encompasses all financial management and reporting, the provision of accurate and timely MI, the establishment of operational KPIs, the management of HR functionality and acting as Secretary to the Board. The remit will cover all stewardship, planning/budgeting, resource deployment, IT development, compliance, treasury/financial control and human resource management activities for the organisation. The requirement is to develop and lead lean effective committed teams and resources to deliver the above. You are a graduate qualified Accountant, a proven Commercial FD with wider operational/secretarial exposure. You are values driven and motivated by the Trust’s mission, both team player and self-starting completer/finisher. You want to ‘make a difference’.
