Job description
An excellent opportunity has arisen to join a leading Construction business based near Chesterfield. My client has a reputation for quality, providing the best customer service possible through their unique approach and attention to detail. Their staff retention ratio is high due ongoing training, development and progression. My client had exciting plans for organic growth, looking to increase their current turnover over the next few years. Duties will include: half yearly and year end accounts; liaison with Auditors and completion of statutory audit; monthly management accounts; detailed budgeting and forecasting; cash flow strategies; create and update five year rolling plan; checking monthly salary payments; submitting year end PAYE and NI returns; attendance of project progress meetings to guide the reporting of financial performance; submission of annual returns to companies house; maintaining all statutory books. This role will act as Finance Director but will also undertake Company Secretarial duties. With 2 direct reports this is a hands-on position, which will also require the successful candidate to support the strategic direction of the business working with the Executive team. Candidates must have experience of working within construction either with a Main Contractor or major Subcontractor. Due to the technical nature of this role mixed with a high degree of commerciality my client is looking for a fully qualified Accountant.
