Job description

A growing Surrey based PLC is seeking to appoint a Finance Director to work closely with the Board on managing the company. Reporting to the Managing Director this key role will involve controlling the company’s finances through the management of a growing finance department. You will have experience of developing a business through making strategic recommendations. Improving processes, systems and financial and operational controls will be a key part of this role. Other responsibilities will include: acting as main liaison between the Directors and Lawyers on all legal issues; implement all financial policies after Board approval; ensuring all Statutory Accounts and reporting are filed accurately and are compliant; ensuring all other mandatory filing complies with the requirements of the regulatory authorities; management of the Treasury function including cash flow forecasting; corporation tax planning and liaising with External Tax Advisor; planning group audits and acting as main liaison with Auditors. Candidates will hold a CCAB recognised qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent). A working knowledge of the reporting requirements of a PLC would be a distinct advantage. It is expected that candidates will be confident communicators and be comfortable dealing at Board level and with external professional contacts.
