Job description
Our client is an ambitious privately owned company with operations in the UK & Europe. They are recognised as a market leader in the supply of speciality products to some of the leading UK retailers. The company is part of a larger group which operates a number of companies within their specialist market. The business is now seeking a Finance Director to be part of the Senior Management team. You will play a major role in developing the Finance function through a combination of systems and process improvements and enhancement of management information. Reporting to the Managing Director, you will lead a small team and will have responsibility for the following: delivering timely, accurate information to enable the business to clearly understand its margin; any system amendments required to deliver the management information; business partnering with the MD to define and drive the strategy of the business and to change the underlying business culture; business partner with key Operational departments; supporting Commercial function to fully understand the gross margin by product and customer. The ideal candidate will be a qualified Accountant with FMCG experience, although this is not a prerequisite. You should have a can-do attitude and be prepared to get behind the numbers to understand the underlying business issues and challenge where required. Previous ERP systems experience will be a distinct advantage. This is a great opportunity to join a business going through an exciting period of change and where you can have a significant impact in the future direction of the company.
Please note, it is unlawful to employ a person in a UK-based job who does not have permission to live and work in the UK. You should make yourself aware of how immigration laws apply to your situation before applying for any jobs. (Refer: Home Office Website).
