This is an excellent opportunity to work as Finance Director for Minivator, a profitable, growing business based in Kingswinford.
As Finance Director you will report to the Chief Executive, a passionate and talented leader, and take responsibility for the financial stewardship of the organisation. You will be part of a 5 strong management team and be fundamentally involved in determining the strategic direction of Minivator. The business requires an individual who will be prepared to get involved with all areas of the business and bring fresh ideas to the table. In addition to having 12 finance staff, you will also be responsible for 2 human resource professionals.
Your duties will include, but not be limited to, the following:
- Responsibility for the timely and accurate reporting of financial and management accounts.
- Reporting to Group.
- Cash and treasury management.
- Development of gross margin and customer and product profitability reporting.
- Budgeting and forecasting.
- Input and support for commercial decision-making.
- Involvement in any potential acquisitions.
- Development and improvement of processes, systems and controls.
Though the role demands a technically capable Accountant with an eye for detail, the successful candidate will also have ample opportunity to get involved with, and influence, the future of this growing business.
You will be a qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA or CIMA) with skills that will have been developed in a manufacturing or service environment. The role demands an individual who is either a successful Finance Director or someone with innate ability and intelligence who is looking to take the next step in their career.
Whilst you will be a technically competent Accountant with a sound, analytical mind, it is equally important that you have an innate feel or how business works and a passion for making a difference wherever you are. Minivator is a market-leading manufacturer of stair lifts and related products with a track record of innovation and market leading technology. The company has grown profitably over the last few years and was recently sold to Handicare AS, a Norwegian Group. Minivator was previously owned by Gresham Private Equity and the company's management team. As well as having a manufacturing and sales arm, around 40% of Minivator's revenue comes from its service business that supports its customers all around the UK. In addition to a head office in Kingswinford the company has a manufacturing facility near Shanghai and a presence in both the USA and Germany.
The business will continue to grow organically and is likely to be look at acquisition targets in the coming years. Additionally Minivator is increasingly developing new products and technologies that will ensure its continued success.
