Job description

My client, a successful & entrepreneurial Telecomms operator, is currently seeking to hire a high calibre Commercial FD to help run their UK operations. Working very closely with the Senior Management team, the successful candidate will be taking overall responsibility for 3 business areas and will carry out the following: provide advice/assistance on strategic initiatives & investments; provide high quality operational financial information & analysis, working closely with the Management team to identify opportunities to improve operational performance; significant involvement in day to day management decisions; maintain a high level of financial reporting and internal controls in terms of integrity, speed & quality to ensure management information systems at all times serve the needs of the business as well as having final financial review and sign off – Company filings, UK statutory accounting, US SEC reporting, corporate taxation, payroll, VAT and income tax. The successful candidate will be a high calibre FD, ideally with a track record from within the Telecomms/Technology sector and with an extensive knowledge of both UK & US GAAP. Knowledge of SEC regulations along with significant experience of managing and leading a finance function is also essential. Previous M&A and Capital Investments experience would also be an advantage. The ability to work across all levels along with the flexibility to work cross-border is essential.
