Leading organisation has an opportunity for a high calibre Finance Director, to provide interim cover. The business is expected to grow significantly over the next few years and is looking to support its existing team.
The key aspects of the role will involve all accounting for a multimillion-pound turnover business; supporting commercial activity, as well as tax, VAT and treasury.

We are based in Wilmslow, Cheshire and London, with activities in the UK, Eire and fledgling activities in Netherlands, Germany and Australia.
Job Purpose
Managing a team of five based in London, you will be accountable for the production of all financial and management accounts, regulatory and statutory reports, daily and weekly sales reports, the annual budget and quarterly reforecast for the group businesses. You will manage the external audit process as well as internal cost reviews and work closely with the profit and Cost Centre Managers across the business.
Main duties will include
- Ensure the production of timely and accurate management accounts to strict group deadlines.
- Manage and forecast cash flow.
- Regular production of budgets and forecasts with commentary and financial analysis.
- Responsibility for integrating financial systems and processes of new subsidiaries.
- Support the Group FC with statutory reporting and business improvement projects.
- Regular liaison with Business Leaders to explain finances and drive business improvement.
- Daily and weekly sales reporting to the business in timely and accurate manner.
- Produce the yearend audit file and take the lead on the London audit.
- Provide all necessary information for statutory reporting, tax returns and ad hoc queries regarding the business.
- Develop and motivate the local team to deliver improved service to the business.
- Produce regular activity reports for clients and represent the business on financial matters.
The Person
You will be a qualified Accountant who has demonstrable leadership ability. You will have an interest and ideally experience in media and marketing and have a commercial approach as well as strong accounting skills. We are a small business and you must be able to operate comfortably with senior people across the business but also willing to deal with the day-to-day accounting processes in the business.
Applicants will preferably be ACA Big 4 trained and must have an excellent academic background, with a progressive career history. Personal qualities will include a strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills and the ability to work in a flexible work environment with a hands-on attitude where influencing skills are essential.
