Job description

My client is a subsidiary of an international LSE listed PLC recognised as a world leader. The business combines manufacturing, sourcing and distributing of this fast-paced product. The future plans include sales growth, increased profitability and diversification. The Finance Director will be a member of the Executive Management team providing financial support for decision- making and financial leadership to the Executive team to maximise the value of the business and take full responsibility for the day-to-day financial management. Responsibilities: management of Finance team and responsible for all financial information prepared by team for statutory reporting; responsible for management reporting actual results and budget/forecasts for internal management and group; maintain and improve strong internal control environment, including focus on cash and working capital management; KPI production for commercial decision-making. Requirements: experience in improving and changing business IT systems to drive improvement is essential; qualified Accountant; previous experience as a Finance Director in a fast-paced small or medium sized manufacturing enterprise preferably within a listed group; commercially astute and pragmatic individual who is comfortable operating within a senior management team ‘hands-on’ approach, decisive, direct yet diplomatic and a committed team player; independent and objective, committed to value creation.
