Job description
Our client is a c£400 million turnover quoted group engaged in the construction and sale of branded products. It seeks to strengthen its Finance function through the appointment of an outstanding Finance Director to support the Group FD and be driven to optimise performance through a proactive input across all of the business’ activities and the creation of a team as a ‘centre of excellence’. The FD to be appointed will provide leadership to the operational and divisional FDs, will enhance and develop rigorous financial controls and reporting systems to evaluate business performance in all operations and through the central team, provide financial review of proposed tenders, monitor cost milestones and maximise cash flows. They will be responsible for profitability and business review analysis and other ad hoc work and will have considerable exposure to the Board, being a key member of the Operational Management Group. You will be a qualified Accountant and be able to turn plans into action, will have a track record of having impacted positively on performance in a period of growth and change and will understand contract and standard costing. He/she will have a robust and enquiring manner, be capable of originating and implementing change and have the gravitas to work at all levels. This is an outstanding opportunity for a business-minded FD with a passion for optimising performance to develop a finance function and participate in all commercial activities across the Group.
